Bleaching

When to bleach?

Sometimes teeth coloration has an extrinsic cause, like stains of coffee, tea, tobacco, plaque or calculus. This type of coloration can be easily removed by the dentist by cleaning and polishing. When the tooth itself discolours, we call it intrinsic staining. To whiten this kind of staining, bleaching is suggested. We offer you 2 types of bleaching:

The dentist makes a mold of the teeth to create fitted trays. The patient has to wear this trays, filled with bleaching gel, during 5 to 10 nights. The bleaching agent is either carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide. The result of the bleaching depends on the concentration of the gel and the working time of the product. It is necessary that the bleaching is done under supervision of a dentist.

In Office Bleaching

After a dental check-up and polishing of the teeth, the dentist puts a protection gel on the gums. Then a bleaching gel will be applied to the teeth for 2 times 30 minutes and activated by a LED light. After the treatment, the gel will be rinsed off and the gum barrier removed.
